Elaine Cavin May is a certified childbirth educator and a trained Birth and Postpartum Doula.  She has training in Breastfeeding support, Hypnobirthing, Birth trauma and Parenting.  Elaine just recently completed the Spinning Babies ™ Parent Educator Training. She has over 20 years experience working with new families and is currently teaching Preparation for Childbirth classes at Sunnybrook Hospital. Elaine is the proud mother of two small children, both born at home.  Elaine also has a B.F.A. in Theatre Production and three quarters of a degree in biology. In 2015 she founded her company Baby Ready to combine her interests. Services include pre and postnatal doula care, labour and breast feeding support and nursery design and set up. Elaine loves helping expectant parents get organized for their new lives. This can involve assembling the crib as well as writing a well thought out birth plan – sometimes at the same time. Elaine believes there is no wrong way to give birth and that every woman has the right to choose their own journey. She is happy to help pack and carry the bags.

Elaine founded Baby Ready to provide services to busy families who are feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of impending parenthood and could use a little help. She lives in East Toronto with her husband and two children.
